Everyone thought he'd be the one to end the relationship. That he'd try to be the bigger person, do it for my protection. Even I thought it would end that way. Maybe that's why I did it. To save him from the pain of doing it himself.

Not that I wanted it to end. Especially after seeing the hurt in his eyes, seeing them glisten with tears. But it was too late then. The damage was done.

And now it was all over the media. She was gorgeous and powerful in Steve Rogers' arms. One of them. Indestructible. And here I was, broken after all.
