Steve was terrified. She needed him, but he chose a mission over her. She had texted and let him know that if he really loved her and wanted to be with her, he knew what to do, otherwise she'd leave, because she wasn't sure about him anymore.

Natasha took over and he went home. He tried to call, to explain that she was it. That he had made a mistake. She didn't pick up.

Dressed in her finest and tears in her eyes, she locked the door and turned around.

"Hi," Steve said, taking her hand. "We'll go together from now on."
